What Will Make the Difference in Your Business in the Coming Year?
With recent events in the economy, worldwide, perhaps your thoughts are turning to how the difficult times will affect you, your local area and your business. We’ve all seen reports of how, as consumers have lost confidence in the economy, many people have slowed or even stopped buying anything but necessities.
For many companies this has spelled disaster. We are now seeing whole industries faltering and folding. What does this mean for you and your business? Are you seeing fewer customers coming through your door? Are your customers buying less?
In spite of the fear, many businesses and individuals are actually doing better as of late, not worse. Many will come out of this recession with great wealth (yes, it became official as we are writing, we are in a recession). Why is that? What do the wealthy know that the others who are going down the tubes and giving up, don’t know?
There are three differences in those people who flourish in any economy.
Their Mindset
The Strategies they use
The Actions They Take
We explore these differences and how they may apply to your success as a small business in the Internet age. We hope the ideas you find here will propel you and your business into a new level of success and prosperity.
I’d like to know…
How will you check your mind set?
What new strategies will you use this year?
And what new actions will you take? I would love to hear what’s on your mind. Please take a moment to comment below.

What has helped me with unemployment was doing a (wax on, wax off) exercise of writing down three ideas a day for thirty days straight for creating/increasing income. For each idea, I wrote what I knew about it, what I knew I didn’t know about it, the resources I did have for it, the resources I knew I needed but didn’t have, any opposites / parallels / offshoots, any thing that was missing, and anything else I could think of about the idea. Now I am far more comfortable with everything that is going on in my life and around me. For those of you who don’t know what a ‘wax on, wax off’ exercise is, please go view the movie ‘The Karate Kid’ (the first one). The consistancy of writing ideas down everyday is the most important.
Great idea, Wayne. There’s something about the number 3 and writing everyday. Writing 3 pages about anything every day will also be an incredible guide. That idea is directly from “The Artist Way” by Julia Cameron.
